My Favorite Things in December

Favorite Things December

1. Pilot G2 Gel Pens. I have been obsessed with these pens since college and I really don’t like using anything else. They write so nice and last much longer than other pens and especially since I’ve started working at the Bills I can’t do without them!

2. Old Navy Tech Gloves. We got my dad a pair of these in the men’s version for Christmas and they were so inexpensive {and half off that day!} that I decided to try a pair for myself. They have the touchscreen panels on the thumb and index finger and they come small enough that they’re easy to use your phone with while wearing them. The walk in to work from where we park is a longer one and it’s always so cold that I love that I can use my phone without having to wait to get in the car to take my gloves off!

3. Urban Decay’s NAKED 3 Palette.  I was so excited when I saw the pictures of the newest colors in this palette. I loved the first two palettes but this one is much more my style… I am in love with the rose golds and browns and I had a $20 Sephora reward card making this purchase a no-brainer!

4. Nike Boy’s Woodside I ACG Boots. I am lucky enough to be able to fit into boy’s youth sized shoes, they are so much cheaper! I found these at the Nike outlet over Thanksgiving weekend and am SO in love with them. I swapped out the yellow laces for the Nike Safari ones and they are so comfy and perfect for winter in New York!

5. Old Navy Fold-Over Jersey Pants. These are crazy comfortable for lounging around the house and they’re a lightweight material that doesn’t make them feel too bulky.

6. GAP Premium Super Skinny Jeans.  I love Gap’s premium skinny ankle jeans and so I decided to give these a try because I needed a super dark rinse jean. These are awesome because they make you’re legs look longer and they’re no too long that they hide your stilettos. They’re also {as their name promises} super skinny at the ankles making them perfect to tuck into UGGs or knee high boots!

7. Philosophy’s Miracle Worker Moisturizer. I had been using Dior’s moisturizer for a long time but I seriously can’t stand the shape of the bottle it comes it, it costs a fortune and then you can’t get in there to use it all. I got this for winter because it does wonders moisturizing but it’s so light on your skin that it’s not greasy at all.

8. Wegman’s Edamame Hummus. I thought this was such a genius idea and I love how much protein is in this. If you’re lucky enough to have a Wegmans where you live, definitely try this out!

9. Velour Eyelashes. These are really expensive and I wear false lashes maybe 3-4 times a year but I’d heard such great things about them that I had to try them out. They’re incredible quality and can be used up to 25 times! I have the lash in the city kind and I love them.

10. Bath & Body Works Fresh Balsam Candle. My aunt got me this for Christmas a couple years ago and now I can’t get enough each time the holidays roll around. It’s a strong pine scent and I keep a mini one on my desk and full sized ones scattered throughout the house!

11. Bath & Body Works Eucalyptus Spearmint Stress Relief Lotion. This has quite a masculine scent to it but for whatever reason I love it. I put it on before bed and every morning after my shower.

12. Nike Girl’s Element Jacquard Half Zip Running Tops. I lucked into finding these at the Nike Outlet and was fortunate to be able to fit into a girl’s large because I got the blue and pink one of these for $20 each! They’re great for the gym and I wish they had more colors in the store because I would have bought them all!

13. Maybelline Dream Lumi Color Correcting Concealer. I have ridiculous under eye circles no matter how much sleep I get. I love using this as a base {I use the color radiant eclatant} and then Laura Mercier’s camouflage concealer over top of it… it takes the purple color right out!

14. L’Oreal Black Gel Eye Liner. I have always used pencil liners, mostly because my hand is not steady enough for liquid liners. This eye liner combines the best of both worlds, it’s thicker than a liquid making it even bolder but using the brush makes it similar to a pencil while applying. I like to use this is in a subtle cat eye when I wear a red lip and minimal makeup!

15. Cheez-It Double Cheese Snack Mix. This stuff is so addicting! I love the variety in it and it’s the perfect little snack.

16. Silpat Baking Mats. These are life changing. I’ve had ours for years but when my mom recently got a set I realized how much we actually use them. They replace parchment paper for baking but they are useful for so many things –  sugar candy, melted chocolate or cheese, anything. Nothing sticks to it and the best part is you just rinse it and wipe it and keep re-using!

17. National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. This has always been my favorite holiday movie {and one of my favorites in general} and I think I watched it about 100 times the last couple of months!

18. Rachel’s Mediterranean. I hadn’t heard of these before and a few months ago we saw one was being built in the same plaza as the TCBY. It opened a few weeks ago and it’s such a great option for us when we’re in a rush but still want something healthy and delicious. I get the chicken souvlaki wrap loaded with veggies and the greek dressing.

19. Seche Vite. I have been using this for a long time but a couple months ago I dropped my bottle in our bathroom and it shattered. I knew my mom had a couple bottles for me so I didn’t buy a new one and the couple of weeks without it was torture, I didn’t even bother painting my nails. This stuff seriously dries in minutes {by the time I finish my right hand, the left one is dry} and it hardens wonderfully making my manicures last so much longer than any other top coat!

20. Five Guys Burgers and Fries. I hate to admit this but my husband and I had never tried Five Guys before. There is one in the TCBY/Rachel’s plaza and we still didn’t try it. We tried it a couple of weeks ago and have already been back, it’s amazing!
