1. Two weeks ago, my husband’s best friend came to visit for the weekend all the way from Miami! Him and Weezy are best buds, here they were catching up on Saturday morning.

2. If you want a crazy good and comforting recipe for this winter, make sure you check out these mini pot pies with herb crusts!

3. It’s snowed a couple of times here in NY for about 15 minutes but it hadn’t stuck yet until this night last week. It came down so hard and fast that when my husband got home from work we couldn’t help but run outside and enjoy it for a few minutes. That’s my favorite part of winter, when you’re home for the night and inside warm and the snow is fluffy and it looks so peaceful!

4. I was working on a project for our downstairs bathroom that involved several clay ornaments, which I’ll  be posting on the week after Thanksgiving you can find the video tutorial in my post here. I had so much fun playing around with different song lyrics and patterns, I love the way they turned out!

5. If you want a super easy and inexpensive last-minute craft for Thanksgiving, then make sure you check out my burlap utensils holders!

6. I finally had the time after work the other day to get my first Caramel Brûlée latte from Starbucks! It was buy one get one that day so I swung by my husband’s office and dropped one off for him to on my way in!

1. If you’re prepping for Thanksgiving dinner then you have to check out my food & cocktail inspiration post because it’s loaded with appetizers, cocktails, turkeys, sides and desserts. I’m currently having a hard time decided which ones I’ll be making!

2. Sebastian was enjoying the sunshine last weekend!

3. I have been working on my Winter Inspirations Pinterest page for a couple of months now {I’ll turn it to public on Black Friday you can view it here}. Earlier this week after a long day I cuddled in with a pot of tea and added some really great stuff!

4. The one {and only} thing I miss about working full-time from home is that little bit of time in the morning cuddling with the dogs. I had a morning off from the Bills this week and spent it laying in front of the sliding glass doors in our living room and Sebastian was a bundle of love this morning!

5. I really don’t like taking my ring to the jewelers to be cleaning so I end up putting it off until it’s so dirty that it’s ridiculous. I decided to look into some DIY jewelry cleaners and came across one that seemed to work well. I boiled some water in my tea kettle and lined a bowl with some aluminum foil {with the shiny side up}. I added 1 tbsp salt, 1 tbsp baking soda and 1 tsp dishwashing soap to the bottom of the bowl. I then poured in one cup boiling water, waiting for it to bubble up then dropped my rings in. The rings started looking like the top left pic and after 10 minutes in the solution, a little scrub with a toothbrush and a pat dry with a paper towel they looked like the bottom right pic!!

1. I was working at night for a high school football championship game and it had been a really rainy and gloomy day. When I was walking to my car at the end of the evening it was perfectly cool and crisp and had stopped raining… it was the perfect night for football!

2. I posted my first holiday cookie recipe yesterday, check out these coconut macaroons!

3. Thursday was Beaujolais Nouveau opening day and I finally had time to grab some on Friday. We ended up having a couple of old fashions instead but I hear since the grapes were harvested late this year the wine has a little more grip to it than usual so I’m excited to try some tonight!
