Just in time for the weekend, this cocktail recipe is super simple and a perfect way to beat the heat! We made these last weekend and if you like watermelon, you’ll love these margaritas! The sweetness from the watermelon juice plays off the tartness from the lime juice and takes the edge off the tequila making it such a delicious and refreshing combination. Prep all your ingredients ahead of time and you can whip these up in no time! If you need some mor inspiration, check out my cocktails section HERE for more ideas!
We juiced our watermelon (1) (read about our juicer HERE) because we figured it was the easiest way to do it (plus maybe the extra nutrients offset the alcohol? haha). If you don’t have a juicer, you can just throw your watermelon in a blender and then strain it! Store the juice in carafes or pitchers in the fridge. We also used a citrus reamer to juice a bunch of limes and stored that in the fridge too. When you’re ready to make your margarita, fill your shaker with ice and combine two shots watermelon juice (2), one shot tequila (3), 1/2 shot lime juice (4) and about a tsp of agave nectar (5).Shake it up and pour into a glass rimmed with salt and garnish with a slice of lime (6).
