Couponing Gone Digital

If you have been following me for a while, you might remember my post last year on coupon organization. Since then, so much has changed where couponing is concerned and I’ve been making a real effort to take advantage of all the new technology. You know from all my posts that if I can help it, I never pay full price for anything because I know somewhere out there I can find a coupon to lessen the cost. My main issue was having to spend so much time looking through our newspaper, clipping coupons or printing them online and then remembering to carry them with me. I started downloading apps to my favorite stores onto my iPhone and saving emails with codes but both of those options brought about new problems. I found myself yelling at my phone when the apps wouldn’t load up as I was trying to cash out at stores and being extremely frustrated when I couldn’t find that one email with a free shipping code that I knew was there. I have tried so many different websites, but I have found one that is now my favorite tool in my couponing arsenal…. Coupon Chief!

As you can see from the picture at the start of this post, Coupon Chief’s website is extremely easy to navigate. You don’t have to sign up or log in to get their coupons and codes, but they do have some really great services if you do sign up (which I’ll tell you more about in a bit!). Here’s the basic idea of their site:

Not only can you search for specific stores, you can search for items and it will pull up coupon codes as well as printable coupons. Using this feature I was able to get an amazing deal on the Edith Wharton book I twittered about a few weeks ago! What sets them apart from other couponing websites is that the codes are user submitted which means most of them have already been used, ensuring they’ll work for you! They have coupons for over 150,000 stores and retail merchants. I was really impressed with some of the more obscure places that they had coupons for. You all know I spend a huge amount of my time shopping for crafting and sewing supplies at Joann fabrics. I used to use their app to carry all my coupons, now I just go to coupon chief and pull up theirs each time before I go… I mean look at all the coupons that come up (45 today alone when I searched)!

Earlier I mentioned that you could sign up for Coupon Chief’s website to get even more savings! One of the best services in my opinion is their pays-2-share program. Here’s how it works:

I mean how amazing is that? You get the emails and mailings every day anyways… now you can just upload them and get paid! You can sign up to get alerts when a store of your choosing adds new coupons too, which is great if you’re constantly shopping at certain stores. Another great program they have is their Coupons-4-Causes:

I am so impressed with this website, not just for how easy it is and how much I’ve already saved with the coupons but with the programs they have to reward users. It’s now my go-to website for all my shopping and I don’t have a need to clip coupons anymore! This tip is one I hope you all take advantage of because it really is going to save you a lot of money! Use the icons on the side bar of their site to fan them on Facebook and follow them on twitter as well!
